Seven-card Stud
Seven-card Stud is a classic poker variant that’s been around the block longer than your grandma’s favorite pie recipe. Unlike Texas Hold’em, where everyone shares community cards, in Seven-card Stud, each player gets their own hand of seven cards, some face down and some face up.
You start with two cards face down (hole cards) and one card face up (door card). Betting begins with the player showing the lowest face-up card. Over the course of the hand, you’ll get three more face-up cards and one final card face down. By the end, you’ll have seven cards, but only the best five-card combination counts.
